Hoopla Education: The Garden Project

The mission of Hoopla Education is to develop a life-long love of learning in children to positively influence our planet’s well-being through their unique educational programs, empowering children to become today’s innovators.

Using the Kinder Garden Curriculum, children aged 3-6 years old will learn about sustainability while also developing social emotional skills, all while enjoying the natural environment that surrounds them.

Carolina Garden World

Classes currently offered at the garden shop can be featured at the garden site, increasing visibility to both Carolina Garden World and the STEAM Garden. Tina, the owner, and Karl, an employee, have been instrumental in figuring out a plan for the garden itself.

Lifelong Learning, Wofford College

The STEAM Garden can be another location for classes offered through this program. The audience for Lifelong Learning includes many people in the older generation, which would further the goal of inner-generational work happening in Spartanburg.

The John F. Green Spartanburg Science Center

The Science Center can hold classes and programs at the site featuring the exhibits and creatures currently housed at the Chapman Cultural Center.  The water programs, energy conservation class, and Star Lab Planetarium would all be ideal for the STEAM Garden site.
